Description

Elephant-back safaris present an exciting adventure opportunity and a novel way of game viewing. Seated on comfortable canvas-covered saddles behind an experienced handler, one experiences the African bush and views animals from close proximity as the gentle giants move silently and in single file through the bush. Plains game such as various antelope species, giraffe and zebra may be encountered. It is also possible to see the Big Five as the reserve accommodates lion, wild elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo. Safaris last approximately an hour and 20 minutes and include a talk by the elephant master on elephant behaviour.
